lack of multi-tasking apps is only a minor inconvenience I think.

The O/S does pre-emptive multitasking and there are background processes running that hand some things for you, such as music, notifications etc.

A well written iPhone/iPad application opens at the place you closed it allowing you to pick up where you left off.

In low a memory, limited CPU, environment allowing the user, or third party software developer, to have control over what processes are running is probably a bad idea.

I can see where Apple are coming from and I can live with the minor inconvenience that causes.

On the flip side having applications able to be pushed into background while you open more and more applications thus using up all available memory causing each application to crash because it has not been properly tested in low memory conditions, loosing your data in the process (because a crash is an uncontrolled exit)... is at best, also an inconvenience.

I thought the same about having to pay for extra 3G. I was wondering if (and even searched for) any providers offered multiple sims sharing a single contract. I could only find reference to a business contract allowing this.

MediaPortal is nice but does not run on Mac OSX. I have used it on Windows machines with great success (as you have). Boxee still presents me with too much information and options on the initial screen.

The software is interesting, but ran into problems it picking up everything in my media library. It will be a contender when they iron out some of the bugs. The interface for consuming online content is quite compelling, as is the new UI. I'll continue to use MediaPortal, however.

I agree - I believe the Navigator is great especially with the bundled Video Search functionality.

Thanks for visiting my site!

Was using a mini wireless keyboard, just got the GlideTV navigator and it's perfect. So much more comfortable and easier to use. Hulu Desktop works great with it.
